Data: Overture Maps, release 2026-10-21 (see /attribution). Not verified by the businesses; `verify.reg`/`verify.owner` say whether anyone checked.

  - need q or cat; q also needs city, near or cat. No list-all.
  - Words are OR-ed and ranked: "emergency plumber" still returns plumbers. cat matches a category or its parent (e.g. legal_service).
  - Result: {"results":[{id,name,cat,svc,city,phone,url,verify,asof,km}],"page":1,"more":false}. Empty fields are omitted. km only with near.
  - fields=name,phone returns only those (id always). Unknown field = 400.
GET https://api.lopfind.com/business/{id}   adds state, postcode, street, lat, lon, cats. Home-based/service-area businesses (contractors, agents) omit street, lat, lon, postcode.

## Limits
No key: 30 requests/min and 1000 distinct businesses/day per IP. Header `X-API-Key`: 120/min and 10000 distinct/day. Repeat lookups of an id do not count as new. Over limit: 429 with Retry-After. Bad key: 401.
Free API key: ask the operator of this service (contact via https://lopfind.com) and send it as X-API-Key.
